Who We Are

Benemoney is a Nashville-based loan connection service that matches U.S. borrowers with lenders offering personal loans from $500 to $5,000 — free to borrowers, funded by lender referral fees, and built on the premise that informed borrowers make better customers for everyone.

The name comes from the Latin bene — “well” — and the mission is the name: helping people borrow well. Not borrow more, not borrow faster than sense allows; borrow well, which sometimes means not borrowing at all. That premise shapes everything on this site, from the estimate labels on every figure to the guides that regularly talk visitors out of a loan and into a payment plan or a sixty-day preparation window.

What We Do — and Don’t

We do one thing: route a borrower’s single request to a network of vetted, state-licensed lending partners who respond with real offers the borrower compares and chooses among. We are not a lender. We never make credit decisions, never set rates or terms, never touch loan funds, and never charge borrowers a cent. Lenders pay us referral fees when connections become funded loans — a model we describe in plain English in our Advertiser & Lending Disclosure, because a business model you have to squint at is a business model hiding something.

We also publish, extensively. The rate guides, the calculator, the glossary, and an eighteen-post blog exist because the connection business works best when borrowers arrive knowing their band, their budget, and their rights. Educated users choose better offers, repay more reliably, and keep lenders in the network — alignment, not altruism, and we say so.

Why This Model

Small-dollar lending has a discovery problem: the borrower who needs $2,000 for a transmission cannot efficiently find the dozen state-licensed lenders who’d compete for that loan, so they historically took the first yes — often from whoever advertised loudest, at whatever price loudness charges. Connection services fix the discovery problem the way comparison sites fixed airfare: one request, competing responses, and pricing power shifted a few honest degrees toward the customer. We built Benemoney because that model, run transparently, is simply better for borrowers than the alternatives — and because the transparent version was rarer than it should be.

The Standards We Hold

The Team Behind the Pages

Benemoney’s content is produced by a small editorial team writing under consistent named personas — Rachel Donnelly on consumer credit, Marcus Webb on underwriting mechanics, Sofia Ramirez on financial counseling — with every page held to the standards above. Our operations team maintains the lender network relationships, the state licensing map, and the request pipeline. We’re based at 4936 Willow Street, Suite 370, Nashville, TN 37209, reachable at [email protected] and (888) 381-8245 — and the fastest way to understand us is honestly just to read the site: every page practices what this one preaches.
